Alex is a social research consultant with over 15 years of experience in Social Impact Assessment (SIA). Alex has carried out research and assessments in the mining, oil and gas, agriculture and power sectors across Africa, completing a number of studies to International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards.

She has extensive experience in conducting field research and socio-economic surveys, undertaking policy and literature reviews, managing and analysing data, undertaking stakeholder engagement and communication processes, authoring Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and Resettlement Action Planning (RAP) reports, baseline and review documents, and social management planning tools, as well as conducting resettlement planning and monitoring.

CATHERINE ERNEST. B.SC. MSC. ECOLOGIST AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANT

Catherine is an Ecologist/environmentalist with 15 years’ experience in environmental and social management which includes prefeasibility (screening), feasibility (scoping), impact assessments and development of mitigation measures.  Catherine is excellent at stakeholder engagement and mobilization at both community and government levels with strong language and interpersonal skills. She provides tutoring and mentorship for undergraduates at University of Zambia, and has conducted social surveys for Innovations for Poverty Action as well as baseline surveys (ecology and social), and impact assessment for numerous Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs). She has received training on Health and Safety (NEBOSH), ISO 14001, climate change issues and sustainable development. She has a wide range of work experience covering various aspects of environmental management across different developments and parts of Zambia.

MEBEELO KAFUNGWA, B.ENG, MSC, NEBOSH. ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE CHANGE CONSULTANT

Mebeelo is AESC Environmental and Climate Change Consultant. Mebeelo leads environmental and social impact assessments, climate change analysis and evaluation, and provides professional health and safety support to our clients. Mebeelo achieved an international National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certificate in 2021, completed PRINCE2 UK Project Management Practitioner Certificate, holds a BEng in Environmental Engineering (Copperbelt University, 2011), a Joint Diploma in Integrated Sciences & Modelling and MSc in Sustainability from the University of Tokyo (2017) and United Nations University(2017) after being selected for a scholarship by the United Nations. Malama holds a bachelor of engineering in Geomatic Engineering from the University of Zambia. He is passionate about Geographic Information Systems and has trained various organisations some of which include Self Help Africa, Zambia Revenue Authority and Zambia Army. He has also done studies in Project Management and Business Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Malama is a member of the Chartered Management Institute in London and also the Engineering Institute of Zambia.

Phillip is a finance and business administration professional, a self-motivated, business oriented and resilient thinker with over 5 years of comprehensive experience and strong expertise in Banking, Capital Markets and Environmental and Social Consultancy.

His areas of practice include finance, business administration processes and environmental and social consultancy. Proven abilities in ESIA baseline surveys, personnel management skills and collaborating with all team members to achieve set targets. A dedicated professional with problem solving, capacity building and critical analysis skills. Technical proficiency in MS Office, good knowledge and experience of GIS software, namely ArcGIS (Survey123 and Collector).

With over 20 years of experience in National Heritage and Conservation in Zambia, Billiard has developed expertise in managing the collection of essential information for heritage assessment reports, site and resource management, exhibition and interpretation, as well as the evaluation and analysis of archaeological debris and surface finds. Billiard is also skilled in determining the significance of resources and assessing their conservation and preservation needs.
